was worried about reach on this so wussed out of lead this time and asked dave to lead it- definately quite reach dependent, moves e easy with long reach, hard for shortarses. but doable with some delicate moves and safe - protection is good. Once established on arete you are back in a stable position and rest of moves fine for shorties.

Excellent route (though no better than, for example Lyons Corner House). To try to put the 'reach' debate into some shaper focus: I'm 5'4" and for me the moves, though stretchy and balancy, were okay. My friend Steve, who seconded me, is 6'3" and yes, he found it distinctly easier. But fun for both.

Cold! Great route with loads of pulls and balancy moves. The wire placements are astoundingly good. Would leave it till warmer weather to do again as i couldn't feel my hands and they went funny and purple by the end (not helpful)

This is supposed to be soft-touch, I beg to differ! The "crux move" round the corner took a bit of figuring out without barndooring, resorting on crimping along a small ledge to get round to the arete. But it was the move after this which had be stumped. Up onto the horn, if I had an extra inch it would have been fine, but at 5"9 I had to get a high poor layback hold on the crack and make a nasty move up and drop onto the horn, almost fell was on poor holds all over the place until I got the horn at which point everything eases. If your 5"10 you can probably just hook right onto the horn from the huge jug.

I would like to think I would have had this on lead so will go back to do so. 'Barn door' move felt a little nerve racking as Im on the short side but by slapping up crack and then the arete I could then reach that beautiful flake for the best finish I've had, too bad we ran out of light.

Lovely route :) Traversed slightly too high which made things harder. When I reached the arete everything seemed a bit slopey and quite gripping. I was amazed to look down when Adam seconded it and he'd found this great hidden jug around the corner (below the big flake)!
