As per the guidebook - could be a tricky start - for me it was reachy (5'6'') but OK. After you are of the ground the chimney is fairly easy with a nice ledge for your feet.

Excellent climb! Not much in the way of good gear placement. Climb the crack the bridge back on yourself to reach the nose, turn the nose and climb up the arete.

Nice little climb a bit more awkward than I thought it would be, I kept thinking I was going to fall in the Chimney because my feet felt slippy on the rock today but got up there in the end. Glynn laughed at my efforts when he got to the top rather to quickly!! :-)

Matts first Severe! I hadn't noticed it was a severe until later in the day so didn't even congratulate him! Suprisingly nice climb actually. Used to chimneys being horrible and green things to squirm up but this is tackled with a easy back and foot technique and decent gear in the pockets. The start is very slippery though and imagine would be relatively tough for a short person! Only thing we were confused about was where to get out at the end! Matt moved right all along the break with his feet, and then swung round the corner of the flake and up a short slab. He insisted I tried a more direct version, which looked somewhat tougher! Back and foot up the narrowing chimney, then reach up for slopers, reach up again and theres a ledge and haul yourself over this! Would be hard for severe if this was it! I certainly wouldn't have led it!
