Adam backed off the 5c move, after a valiant attempt, so I had pre-placed gear before the crux. Managed to use superior height to place a better wire high up in the right-hand crack, which gave me the confidence to put enough power into the crux moves. My first HVS 5c on grit :o)
graphiclunarkid - Lead β - 17/May/11 with Adam Carless

After having failed to lead it, backed off and handed over to GLK. Got it straight away once I knew what to do and wasn't on the pointy-end. Definitely a hard move for the short (as is placing the useful gear).

Didn't finish but was pleased to get up the first part using minute holds....got to finger jam with right hand above the overhang but wrist wasn't happy to take the strain :-( More rehab needed!

Still not sure what route we did, didn't feel quite like a 5c move, probably a soft 5b or 5a but the gear was good, and it was quite a technical move to get over the lip.
skittles - Lead dog - 12/Oct/08

Bouldered up and placed a couple of runners high right. Then down climbed, tied in and climbed up again. Took several 'looks' at the crux move before finally doing it. First HVS!
