The polished line of tiny holds leading up right to the break is a desperate, fingery problem for most, and the pit makes it potentially nasty to fall from low down. Above, it relents and follows the enjoyable sustained bubbly wall left past a tricky thread. Did the E3 start, which was my first of the grade. Felt good, the gear at the top was spaced but bomber threads and cams so all pretty safe. Then O/Sed the direct start on a toprope but I don't think I would've liked it without, but still easy 6b.

Cake - TR dnf - 04/Jun/10 with Matt

Start was polished but not hard for 6b. The rest of the route is a bit pumpy and awkward to read but the moves are very good.

Tenuous onsight as i belayed steve on it in '06', but dont remember his exact moves and the holds are obvs from the deck. Also i tried it and fell off it then. Full commitment and a slap for the break. top was wet and pumpy.
Alex Mason - Lead O/S - 16/Jun/09 with Steve R & Andy G

Done after allex although didnt really get much infomation about it due to spotting. Again brilliant start goood finish although conditions where slightley damp making hold slippy but just about do able.

Would've found this easier but took ages to discover the thread/jug thus found it quite pumpy and hard work reversing to the break a couple of times to the relative sanctury of an 'arm hook' round the undercut. Upper wall was more pushy than the guide book led me to believe.

The hard start was no problem but the runout from the last piece of kit spooked me & I retreated. The Berzins/Hamper team arrived, flashed the route on my gear & gave me the confidence to get back up and do the same. Thanks! The route had seen few (if any)repeats up to this point as far as I am aware.
