that 2nd pitch crux move up the bulge taxed the reach of my partner leading an hes 6ft2.at 5ft8 i found impossibe.same as last time when i led that pitch.result same had to lower off an pass underneath.

Lead 2nd pitch off a not brilliant belay! Did the higher traverse (meant to do lower) which I found mega strenous, so had to rest on the peg. Quickly backed that up when I saw how much it was bending! After that, found the 5b move technical but not strenuous. At the very limit of my reach and I'm 6'2", You'd be stuffed if you were even an inch shorter!

south devon & dartmoor guide has this HVS and 'the pearl'HS mixed up.thought was doing pearl.great 1st pitch.couldnt understand why ungraded 2nd pitch seemed so hard (5b).managed scary moves to peg but couldnt suss how to get up,too hard for a 15 stone short ass.finished via 'the pearl'-on the right route at last ha ha!
