Ramshaw is home to some of the hardest routes in Britain and most of them are graded HVS - a Yosemite style tape job is the only access requirement! There are no access problems at the main crag. However, do not try and climb at Lady Rock (the buttresses on the far right above the farm house), these are not on access land, the owner lives very close and has been confrontational.
Rockfax Description
14m. The long groove is rarely travelled but is just about worthwhile when dry. Follow the groove past a grass field then take its leftward continuation before escaping out left and finishing up a good exposed crack. © Rockfax

βeta: My son led this yesterday, HS4a in the book. There is no protection above the crux which is the first few moves on a nearly featureless slab, he climbed it well but hard severe should have protected moves - not one for beginners. The rest was wet and vegetated until the top - also the belay is tricky size 5 cams help. | βeta? | |
