20m. Western grit's Peapod, a classical struggle but a classic nonetheless. The narrow central section is an uphill battle especially for those who are large in the chest, though once the trident block is grasped things ease and the final section gives glorious jamming. © ROCKFAX

teamrob - 2nd dnf - 23/Jul/11 with Dan

found it almost impossible. Am wide chested, could not get one arm above the other to jam properly. For me, much harder than peapod at curbar or tower chimney at stanage. HVS 5c in my book.

Oh my God! Outrageous. 'Fell off' but got stuck in the crack on the way out before the rope took me away - and carried on up in a most desparate desparate fashion. Scars all over. Should have hand jammed front on.

A brilliant end to a perfect day :) Really enjoyed the climbing, but my partner found it curiously hard to second - she eventually ended up climbing the blank 6b arete to the right of the crack (!)
