Pitches 2 and 4. Few loose bits but good route

Good route with very varied pitches but probably too much loose rock to get anymore than 2 stars. Situations are fantastic! 5b pitch is quite strenuous but really well protected. 4c pitch is a strong line but the slab is bold and there is plenty of loose stuff about. The pitch after that should read traverse right for 2 metres, then head up and right to a large stance, 10m. 5a pitch was a bit bold and very, very sustained! (I lead the first pitch but couldn't second this pitch clean!) Definitely adventurous. Final pitch is 4b up the steep crack on big holds. Ascent to the route and descent back to the bags really are not that bad. There are far worse around!

Led pitches two and five. Felt worthy of three stars to me.

A 3 star route if the main corner is dry with amazing exposure. Tried to go too direct on the 5a pitch, description should be "trend left" across steep wall, thankfully Colin saw sense!

The 2 main pitches are both excellent. The main 5b corner is much better than it looks from below. Shame it's so easy between these pitches. Thought the guidebook description was a bit out: We soloed pitch 1, but it's more than 15m. Pitch 3 was surely not 4c. It starts with a chimney which was the best bit of the pitch, or you can just scramble easily around and up it's RH side. Pitch 4 from the grassy bay to the ledge is about 10m, not 5. You traverse right for 5m and then up for 5m and belay on the LH side of the ledge. For the next pitch go all the way to the left hand side of the ledge, step left and go up that groove/line there.

The perfect ** route - if it was *** you might be disappointed with the more scrambly sections, but overall a brilliant climb in an amazing situation.

Deffinately gets more than two stars, the line is brilliant and the rock is better. First pitch is well proctected and technical and the final pitch is a little run out but on massive jugs once you make the awkward move from the belay.
