Made good progress on the neve on the approach and on the last pitch. Not much snow around so the climb was hard with a steep mixed section in the middle which Joe lead. Took a tumble on second myself which I'm blaming on having only one axe.

Excellent condition with a nice ice pitch. We started quite high up and lead it in two pitches. First ice pitch was lovely. Head wall has excellent neve. I lead both pitches. Weather was excellent.

After failing on an unformed Y gully left branch ( tried variation and had an entertaining time of it ! ) we did right branch. Some great ice today with ice screw placements. Straight forward frontpointing with no interesting moves.
