Gypsy Lane* HVS 5a
35m, 2 pitches.

Rockfax Description
The route up the open corner at the east end of the large platform beneath the abseil has a good first pitch. After that it is a matter of "any way out will do!"
1) 5a, 20m. Climb the corner, moving right around the roof to a large hole. Belay on the ledge.
2) 4b, 15m. Climb the groove and corner on the left to the top. Take care with loose rock. © ROCKFAX

A very good lead by Duncan, P1 is just dammed hard work.

Mini epic of the day. Paul made a good lead up to the roof but had to back off. Good attempt given that we abbed down the wrong line looking for a VS. I led the roof section and Paul finished off the last pitch for us. Finished with cream tea in the cafe on a scorching hot September day.
cdpuk - AltLd O/S - 07/Sep/14 with Nick Tammik, Paul Callaghan

tried to lead 1st pitch but was defeated at overhang. Lowered and Chris finished it. I finshed the easier 2nd pitch on lead, but disappointed could not get the onsight of pitch 1.

Congratulations to Rob for the slowest ascent in human history :) but a very good effort :)
Stanley - 2nd O/S - 04/Aug/11 with Cragking

glad people think its E1 as I got a little beaten up by the this route. Crack being wet and me thinking it was going to be an easy way to get out are my best excuses. Very poor technique and efficiency! Shame as it was great fun otherwise. (dropped guide book and a very kind boulderer attached it to the end of our rope so we could pull it back to the belay ledge) cheers.
