excellent route with superb gear

First climb in Devon. Neil got about 1/3 of the way up before down climbing, and slightly unconvinced but willing to give it a try, I then led the route. Nice route. Plenty of gear. Definitely slopers on the top-although a few larger holds do exist too. I personally went for the 'use large holds to pull up, twist hands, palm up, have all four limbs on the same level like a frog' top out method. Easy abseil back to ground, and easy to make a hanging belay for the seconder. Nice route :)

Once you're on it (the approach to the groove was a little sketchy) the line is just beautiful, hard (for me) but all the gear and all the holds are there, so it was just a matter of getting on and enjoying it. The final airy arete closed things nicely too. I grinned lots.
