My guide said this is the best severe in Yorkshire. Although i've not climbed many climbs on Yorkshire grit I can confirm this is better than anything of the same grade in the Peak! BRILLIANT, AMAZING & EXCELLENT all in one!

wet and awful. wearing a down jacket. set off with no gear. Ian lobbed up a rack when he arrive (at the pulling over part). lead it with a bit of trouble at the top. ian dogged his way up like a true E2 climber.

Beautiful climb, a little embarressing when the previous group were on looking and muttering but ohwell! Made a scrabbly first move to get onto the shelf, move out right abit until the huge scoop/jug can be reached with a little step up. Both hands on this, stand up, left out into one of the eyes and get up. Went alot easier than I had expected, looked quite steep from below. Put in some gear and looked up at the fine looking slab (not my strong point). Up the crack abit, out left, into the ramp, up the ramp with ease, then almost directly up. Final move is a wobbler but well protected and not too hard, just remember after you stand up you can pretty much reach the top jugs! Wonderful climb and perfectly ok for Severe, maybe even easier. Thought Yorkshire was supposed to whoop my ass? 3 stars easy.
