Suckered into doing this by the VD grade in my 1990 logbook (is this the biggest sandbag in Yorkshire Gritstone). A fine combination of laybacks, jams (hand and foot) and the "swimming pool finish" noted by others. It is worth a VS because there's no real rest until you're over half way. 4b? Probably. 2 stars? Definitely.

Brilliant climb! Probably my favourite of the day, everything flowed really well and I felt absolutely bomber in every situation. It helped that I have quite large hands so my fists just slotted in so easily it felt like severe! Was plugging up over and over again with jams I could quite literally lean back off without a worry, then into hand-jams which were the same and fantastic moves. The top turned out to be a bit of a struggle but managed to udge my way through it! Good effort to Lisa leading it after with tiny hands! Thought I was sure to sandbag her this time :p

Rob lead and climbed well. I completely bundled it mainly due to poor confidence in attacking with the right technique. Once I did get the technique right I was very tired. Just about completed it with lots of rests and falls.
