We started at about 22.00 and climbed through the night by headtorch, what an adventure! Totally drained by the end after overcoming loose rock, violent foliage and gearless downclimbing (who said seconding was safe??), basically everything you would expect from 12 pitches of climbing on main wall! What a night!

Pretty relentless climb but Avon adventure at its best.

A real adventure, complete with loose rock, hostile vegetation, precipitation and a jungle top-out, not to mention practising wet slab self-arrest technique... In all it took us about 9 hours. One I'll remember!
Nick Russell - AltLd O/S - 21/Aug/13 with Alex Winter

Was feeling ropey by pitch five, very tired by eight, and utterly bollocksed by the tenth. Chuffed to finish it though. Took nearly nine hours. The climbing is quite sustained, with portions of unprotected down-climbing, lots of the loose stuff, and some hazardous flora to negotiate - all in good keeping with Main Wall. There were some last-pitch heroics by Nick in the rain.

First six pitches. Mikey led the 5b bits. Hard exit from the spike to gain the handholds in the break (took a rest on a peg after it).
ruaidh - AltLd O/S - 12/Sep/10 with Michael

First 6 pitches, all of which were stunning with solid climbing around the 5a/5b grade. Only the final bit of pitch 6 up to the bolt belay goes over some very dodgy rock.

P1-P6 21/07/06 P7-P10 23/07/06. Done P11+P12 (Drang P2+3) before That's right - a 3 nonconsecutive day ascent. Route is in poor nick. And it was too hot. And bold. And long. I'm not over keen to go back for the in-a-day.
