Epic route and a real classic. Climbed in light rain as i couldn't bring myself to walk away from it again because of bad weather. Nice variety of climbing styles and bold moves around the crux. Hands kept slipping off wet holds at top, gritty determination and a little cursing kept me on the rock. Still smiling!!

Excellent corner-shuffling followed by a crux that was a bit of a wake up call as it was about two grades harder than the rest of the route and wasn't over till I got the finishing jug. The bottom third of the crack was seeping but apparently it often is - wasn't really an issue though as didn't really have to use the wet holds.

Awesome. Quite intense at the top. Would go for high-end E1, but didnt feel there was much between it and Left Wall really - both feeling like hard HVS/soft E1 to 3/4 height then with a harder section above. Probably easier if youve done lot over winter and have steel calves!

Some love this climb, others do not. Some think it is underrated and others think the opposite. The route is what it is, and each person has their own point of view, but it is undeniably iconic, and to me is very important as it provided me with 17 years of inspiration. Now I have led the route a monkey is off my back. Protection superb, situation excellent, history is all there with the peg, pudding stone and all those moves you have heard about. Go enjoy it.

Battled my way to the crux, it was wet in the crack and lots of water in pockets etc. just couldn't keep it together at the crux as I was so bunched up and couldn't commit my hands to the thin slippy crack above, never mind figure out what to do with my feet.

Great route to do if you find this grade intimidating. The crux is so high - if you motivate yourself to get up near it, you won't be tempted to back off at that stage. Also the crux sort of creeps up on you: by the time you realize you're on it it's as good as done.

this and moyer's buttress in the same week was a real highlight for me. had electricityscape by the strokes in my head all the way up and every time i hear it i can still see the thin pull through the crux and then feel my right hand sinking into that perfect jam above. my favourite ever route (so far...)

Great climbing, but it was only a bit tricky because the crack was still wet. With so many bridging rest positions, I guess it gets the grade because it is so long, rather than because the climbing is hard.

If you like your climbing wiht LOTS of gear this is it. Take the lot, you will get it in. I got 18 runners in! Why carry it if you're not going to us it? The climbing is superb, the position excellent and the sting in the tail is the move from the notch. Has anyone else bridged out of it? I am no jamming fan, and too chiken to layback but will bridge anything. E1 5c is bang on the button. Was amazed how good the rock still is given the years of heavy traffic. Be there early (0700 in June) for that reason, plus you get the early sun and won't boil.

Drove up to Llanberis on the fri night,bivied (Kev wanted to do the route in the dark with headtorches,I declined!looking back that would have been some adventure though!)got up and walked up to The Corner.Kev led,it looked hard!He belayed off a tree to the right so he could see me 2nding.Did the route ok till the top move where i realised that the top runner I`d taken out was directing the rope down the corner,and now I was doing the crux with quite a pendulum potential! struggled,but made it ok.Cracking route! (drove to Gogarth in the afternoon & did Dream of White Horses.)
