The easiest way off of Lunchtime Ledge. Start on the far right-hand side of Lunchtime Ledge. 23m. Follow a rightward trending line of grooves, ledges and trees to the top. © ROCKFAX
Easy, but some parts very polished.

Let Andy lead to half way on this one. Fair shout since this was his 1st ever climbing day on real rock. His gear placements certainly reflected this however. Soloed up behind him to take over for the second half since he has no idea how to belay/build an anchor. Great afternoon since we should have been at school.

bloody gate on my crab decided not to undo itself when we were taking apart the belay. Would be greatful if it wasn't taken as crag swag as it wasn't so much abandoned as left in frustration (I am intending on recovering it).

Did this after the Arrete. Belayed at the trees at top of an earthy slope. The first section (5-6m) had two choices of route - the first quite exposed and hard to protect, but the second was like a staircase...I guess the second was the right route for this grade. Moment of panic as E dropped her belay device... but a phone call to Monkey-man Darren helped us work out an Italian Hitch. Nice people on neighbouring climb checked we were Ok at the top. Topped out in dark!!! Last section of climb a little scarey for a D. Nice top belay onto TWO very sturdy trees. Hurrah! NOTE ONE : must go and look for E's missing belay device NOTE TWO : must practice emergency knots NOTE THREE: must always take phone NOTE FOUR: time for red wine!
