Rockfax Description
Named after a well-known Norwegian 19th century writer. Start just to the left of a shallow groove.
1) N5+, 40m. Climb up the centre of a steep cracked slab to a small overlap split by a thin, vertical finger-crack. Jam up this - steep to start - to a big ledge with a large rock sitting on it.
2) N6, 35m. Climb up the crack behind the boulder (a pull on gear reduces the grade to N5+), and continue up the cracks above and a slab split by a crack to the ledge.

A short route that runs up to the grassy terrace up and left of the Island. Start just to the left of a shallow groove.
1) 5+, 40m. Climb up the centre of a steep cracked slab to a small overlap split by a thin, vertical finger-crack. Jam up this, steep to start to a big ledge with a large rock sitting on it.
2) 5 A0, 35m. Climb up the crack directly behind the boulder (one point of aid to start) and continue up the cracks above to a possible stance. A short pitch up a slab split by a crack leads to the ledge. Scramble off right, or continue up Den Siste Viking.
