Easy slabbage followed by more technical padding with assistance from the corner crack. Enjoyable but not quite 3 stars for me. Took a hanging belay where the corner changes direction so as to have line of sight over the pitch. Turned out to be a very windy place to belay! Ed led a long P1 and finished off with P3.

Led bottome pitch, Mark led mid-pitch, then I led round the corner and jammed the rope when pulling in at the belay. Thanks heavens I had a vast selection of slings handy for the climb back down to free the rope!! Gorgeous route though.

Kylie P1, Me, P2,3&4 (3&4 run together). First two pitches easy but very enjoyable, 3rd pitch is excellent - possibly my favourite climb of all time. In order to run top pitches together on 50m ropes had to skip placing gear on final short pitch and fight huge rope drag!

Alan led first pitch (combining first two of guide) to nice ledge opposite abseil point. Very easy; I virtually ran up, following. I led second pitch up to crack and then round corner to belay. I didn't account for how much more difficult the middle of the crack was and slipped when faffing about with my unsatisfactorily placed third piece of protection. Slid maybe up to thirty feet grazing elbows and finger tips, sprained ankle, bruised and grazed back and bum. However, ALIVE! Lesson: never remove poorly placed protection fifteen feet above previous piece before placing another piece well. Had a five min rest and then completed the pitch. Alan did last little pitch to top.

Led pitches 1 and 3. Tide coming in quick so put in an intermediate belay on p1 to allow Martin to belay from higher up, also to gather up the ab rope so it would be above the waves as they came in. This route is all about pitch 3, but is far better than Devil's slide itself. Pitch 3 is really good....quite exciting !
