Best combination of climbing conditions and weather on the Ben in a long time. Banked out except for first ice step. Great ice but bulge made it an exciting solo. Great viewpoint at the top

Just banked-out snow slopes for the normal bit of the gully, but the reason for going up was to get to the 20m icefall on the LHS of the upper section. Had a go at the LHS of the fall, but wimped at the idea of going all-out on the last long vertical bit... so escaped via the handy snow bank in the cave behind the fall!
