Steep in places but really positive holds all the way up. Lovely grippy, stable rock. Small cam for the exit at the top proved useful. Managed to avoid the jam at the top by wedging my left palm and elbow across both cracks and edging my feet up. Ungainly but effective.

Our guide (south west climbs) gave this HS4b, which was at our limit at the time. Mate led and fell out of the final corner, two pieces of gear ripped but luckily the rope caught in a crack so the fall was only 20ft or so! He didnt even shout "take". Even the Royal Marines that were at the crag that day looked shocked. I then had to lead the route on the rope that wasnt stuck to retrieve the other one. As he told me the final corner must be at least 5a (bollocks) I climbed the one to the left (which was 5a).
