Fantastic route. I can't believe people miss out the top groove - it's THE feature of the route IMO. I'd also recommend belaying after the short traverse as the belay in the sentry box is uncomfortable and the gear isn't great.

Enjoyable climbing in a great location but not that great a route considering its in Hard Rock. The groove was wet and slimy so I finished up the crack and arete which had the most interesting climbing on the route.

Led first pitch which was great. Martyn had an epic on the top pitch as his first lead in 12 months. He had to dump a half rope as it got tangled, gear ran out and he climbed the grim groove instead of the dry arete. great fun!

Pete did very well leading the very bold start to pitch 1. I could see no reason for grovelling up the groove at the top of pitch 2 when there was a superb crack and pillar up which to finish. Apologies to FRCC. Although weather was very good (over 105F on Centre Court!) it was so cold here that my fingers were all dead by the time Pete had reached the mid height belay! An inspiring route.

Fantastic route. Solid VS climbing, great pro and an imposing mountain feel to the route. Top pitch still green after several dry days. Made a full day out with Tophet wall and napes ridge.

Tremendous route for a VS. Even standing at the bottom of the route, it felt eerie and formidable. Good dose of expose at the top pitch. Excellent line. I wouldn't say it's a slab.
