The crack of the first pitch can be a little wet. The move out on to the 'gargoyles head', second pitch, is relativelty bold. It feels airy and one can become too deeply engaged with an adjacent crack to make the move a simple one.

I led the first picth. Zach took the second, got overt the crux and then we lost comminication, and had a major rope jam problem, caused by lack of communication, maybe me not giving Zach enough slack on the belay, and maybe just a bit of bad luck! Zach un-tied and finished solo, and came back down, whilst I tied him off and started climbing, anchoring myself to his gear, hoping to sort out the jam, which we couldnj't even find in the end! What a lash-up!

Led the first pitch, but there was a small group on the ledge, which had increased to a large group by the time Megan and Steve got up to me, so I took a line to the right, up a crack, over a block, and then I failed on an overhanging block below a chimney, so backed off to a ledge and up around a scrambly bit further around to the right.
