Very wet, very poor visibility. No map, descended the wrong way and ended up somewhere outside Invercoe. Long walk back to the car, about 15 miles all in! (Good training for a Cullin attempt.)

Up to the Meall Darg in sunshine but cloud came in 30 minutes later accompanied by driving (impossible to tell if heay or light) rain and strong wind. No snow to speak of on ridge. Awkwardly placed bits of ice could be reoved by hand. (We had crampons but no need to use). Rope taken out once where short descent landed on ice. Once we reached Sgor nam F. wind became so strong that everyone was blown over at some stage. Left ridge too early and descended a gully for a couple of hundred metres then managed to exit and continued down through heather. We were a fairly strong team (Swiss Alpine Club). Would not recommend anyone to do the ridge in wet weather as rocks very slippery when descending

Great ridge with plenty of exposure but little in the way of real technical difficulty. Would be a different kettle of fish in winter though!

Great ridge scramble. The scrambling is easy with great/scary exposure.Beautifulclear hot sunny day with great views. Avoid the gully path descent at all costs. It is steep,loose and a party above us sent down some basketball sized boulders that shot passed at horrifying speed. Total accident and I am sure unavoidable due to the looseness but if one hits you it will kill you.

With John Waterhouse, Fiona Leach and Adam Gough. Darren Shepherd started with us but left us behind, we caught up on the final summit. A glorious day with fantastic views. The walk up Am Bodach wasn't too bad, but the descent path was horrible and a long walk back along the road.

I'd done a traverse of the Aonach Eagach several years ago on a dank, slushy snowy day, not summer conditions and not quite winter conditions, only an axe for Am Bodach descent. Had a bit of an epic after I slipped downclimbing one of the pinnacles and nearly fell off the ridge alltogether (literally inches from a very serious fall) Was badly shaken up and never went back as had bad memories of the place. What all the fuss was about I don't know? Came to the spot where I'd fallen (I'd been slightly off route and trying to downclimb a pretty bare wall rather than a VERY easy chimney!) and wondered what all the fuss was about. Was nervous up there after my previous traverse, but found it a doddle and I'd like to go back and do it again, knowing how it easy it is.
