Very wet, was still draining from earlier rainfall. The gully was a stream, got soaked. Interesting ascent though. Reached the summit then descended off the South Ridge into Cwm Bochlwyd.

A foul day. Rain, gale force winds, fog, cold, horrible! Went for 1st Pinnacle Rib but decided against. Chose to do a gully climb. Nor Nor was wet and slippery all the way. Intermittent easy scrambling and difficult chockstone sections. All dificulties can be overcome at v. diff but the wet conditions made them serious propositions as he consequences of a slip would be severe. Final chockstone most difficult. Normal route to the left but too slippery to get a foothold. Bypassed it to the right by pulling on heather and sheep shit and a sling over a spike. Not fun! Final scramble to the Notch on the ridge to the right easy but enjoyable. A clear path to the left exists but not sure where this summits. Howling gale at the top, could hardly stand up, was glad we backed off the rib route.
