Didn't read the book properly, started up the right route then climbed 4 bolts of the 6b to the right before down climbing traversing back on line and finishing the route.

Very hard committing start for a 5 climb. Very enjoyable route quite sustained but always interesting. Despite other comments this route does follow the Rockfax guidebook line. It would be easy to follow the line of the crack to a bolt on the adjacent route 6b+! But the route crosses above the crack to the next bolt as shown in the guidebook.

Start should give it a 6a.

An overhanging 5 would have big jugs - the start of this doesn't, and is probably 6a. The first bolt is too high, and hard to clip, but there's a thread lower down that can protect this. I aided this first section, but not before I'd worn myself out, so ended up resting on the next bit. The correct route higher up is far from obvious, the line shown in the RF mini guide can't be right. I followed the lower diagonal crack to where it widens and becomes less defined, then moved up and left, traversed the big flake, and then hand traversed rightwards (attempting to follow the RF line). Good route (depending on where it goes!), possibly better to start up Neu ne Marc to make the grade more consistent. I made it look so desperate that Carmen declined to follow :-)

Strenious and sustained. Top, out of keeping with the rest of the route (harder / bolder). Used previous routes lower off left of this one's.
