14m. A contender for the best outing on grit! Sprint up the layback flakes trending right to a 'rest' on jams at a break. Before courage and power flag more laybacking leads to unobvious jug-hauling and a poor rest in a niche. Escape out right awkwardly (rounded hand traverse or ungainly grovel, using holds in the roof and optional head jam) to finish up a wide crack. A brilliant belay is located above. Stupidly did this as first route of the day. Flash pump, then lowered down and climbed clean ground up. Fantastic route.

Very pumpy but with a couple of no hand rests/ knee bars and the cave you have time to shake out. After taking a fall at the crux I found it easier to just go for it between rests. Interesting finish starts with a couple of bomber hand jams then into full body jam/ grovel rightwards to exit. Highly satisfying

Simply amazing. I got to the to the niche utterly pumped out of my face. The section between the break and the cave felt like it went on forever. The longest 6m of my life. The moves to the break were fine, I placed some gear between the break and the cave because otherwise I think you could possibly deck out if you fell off at the cave before placing gear. Got to the headjam in the cave and felt completely full of adrenaline. After I got my head in the cave I managed to relax a little. Simply one of the best grit or non grit climbing experiences I've had. Amazing!

Wow! This thing is stupidly pumpy! I think I underestimated this, not realising how steep the block is, and thinking it was 'just E2'. How wrong I was... had to battle to stay on this, I've never climbed so technically poorly in my life!

Team yo-yo. I had a poor onsight go giving up at the good jams. Got it second go with an improved attitude and emptier mind. Amazed to suddenly find myself in the niche. Brilliant route, just enough big holds and rests to cope with the steepness. Aptly named too!

Bart and I had a great time working The Rasp yesterday. My first lead attempt ended whilst pulling through the flared flake above the good jams half height. I will be back for more. Bart then managed clean ascent on the pre placed gear.

Got to 2/3rd up took a 6m fall. Pulled rope, de-pumped and gave it another go, fell again a little higher up. Tried to dog up, took another 3 falls (inverted on 1). got to the traverse and could not hold the sloppers, super pumped. Lowered off as the sun had set and was getting cold. Ab for gear was very funny.

On Si's gear 'til two thirds height, placed a couple more pieces towards the top. Thunderously pumpy and totally brutal, couldn't bend my arms at the top due to critical bicep pump. Full on E2 and most strenuous clean lead to date.

Amazing, got well pumped, seemed to get more tired hanging on jams than i got recovery, some harder moves than expected. The 'poor rest in the niche is actually as good a rest as you could hope to find on an overhanging wall. Finish is relatively easy when done right!

One of the best routes I've ever done. Loved every minute of it :) Did have a worrying moment at the half-way crux when I gently knocked an apparently solid cam and it just felt out! The trigger wire was frayed and was stopping it from camming properly :( Found a couple of good hands free rests as well - beta on request ;)
