First multi-pitch with myself as the most experienced member of the party...Pitch 1 and 2, best holds I've ever seen. Pitch two was excellent corner-y climbing, and the views were spectacular... however, after the saddle belay, I got a bit wobbly and backed off the exposed step out and seconded the last pitch on some guys from Leicester Uni's ropes. Took us somewhere around 5 hours to climb all three pitches as a 4. The first pitch was wet but I wasn't ready to let the rest of my family use that as an excuse for not doing it and we so eventually we all got up it. We then decided to link the second and third pitch together due to the number of us and the size of the second pitch belay ledge, mum got a bit scared on the final exposed section.

3rd time lucky! Have tried to solo this lots of times but always people on it, luckily got on it between parties today, amazing steep juggy climbing in the sunshine on top pitch. Spent ages trying to get past the block on P3, lay on it, faced outwards, eventually wiggled round, some old boy cruised it solo just after me!

What a climb. Well deserves its stars! Wonderful sunny day. Belay ledges can feel exposed but are all the better for it. Views down over to derwentwater were lovely. Lost a nut key, followed by two nuts. Take water or hydrate at the bottom if it's hot and likely to be a challenge for you.. possibly a little hard for the grade.

Lead the first and third pitch. We managed to get there early and be the first on it. My first lakes route and what a fine one it was! Our guide book was crap so initially we couldnt work out the start, but we ended up doing it right. Good positions and fine climbing!

Guy lead and we kinda strung pitches 2&3 together - didn't actually realise pitch 2 was a pitch as it was just a wander through tree roots! V pleased with climb but didn't like the crux move out onto the slab beneath the saddle. Not bad for 4th climb (1st outdoors) since having a baby 10 weeks ago :)

Mike convinced me to solo this with him, and I'm so glad I did. Soloing in a pair is so peaceful, none of the worry you normally have as you can have a chatter whilst doing the moves. First pitch was pretty wet but was okay, felt miles easier than when we led it a month previous. We had to wait at the tree for a group to finish pitch 3 who very kindly let us climb through as they were in a 3. Got slightly lost on the last pitch as I had forgotten the route but figured it out for myself which was great and very exposed, topped out and me and mike hung out at the top chatting waiting for Lisa and Matt to top out and watching another pair do a E2. Then the rain came and we ran away again as usual.

Lead all pitches. Climbing as a 3, so didn't fancy belaying on the saddle and sorting everything out, so ran the last 2 pitches together with a ton of rope drag.
First pitch is distinctly average, 2nd is a walk, but then 3rd is cool, and 4th is amazing! Definately lived up to the expecations!

4 pitches is a bit artificial - better off running as two by passing the first tree belay on the right to belay at the top of pitch 2 then linking pitches 3 and 4 together.
Certainly don't try belaying in the saddle if you aren't swinging leads as it really isn't big enough for two and sorting the ropes etc.
The infamous block is so polished you could use it for shaving.
Made a hash of the ropes on pitch 3 which turned a pleasant route it into a bit of an epic - simply stupid!!

Waited all morning for the rain to cease, soloed 1st two pitches, had started raining again as I led 3rd pitch but rock still dry - shielded by overhang, until the awkward step onto the slab which was running with water. Enjoyed the exposure of the belay on the saddle. 4th pitch (Ewan led) exposed and exciting!

First Climb in the Lakes (we are Gritstone boys) Unsure about those lovely guides - We have RockFax books. Completed in 2 pitches with smithy leading to the top tree in the scramble leaving me to top out from there, Didn't know whether to go right or left on the pinnacle but took it right. What a lovely Climb. On a Tuesday there was no queuing, one pair had finished before we started and another was starting once we were back to the bottle, forget the weekends.

This was my third climb - awesome fun even though i dont like heights, the new rockboots helped alot, much better than trainers. Did in 2 pitches no falls or slips and first time belaying. There were a couple of moves on the second pitch that felt a bit dodgy and exposed but a good climb overall.

Good route.Interesting little move on 2nd pitch when tehre is a weird move under a boulder which is not difficult technicaly but very disorientating and feels exposed.

As enjoyable as promised. First pitch was a little wet, second is a little non-existant, but the third and fourth are superb. Did a lot of faffing on the saddle after equalising the gear with my end of the rope (didn't have anything else left).

My 2000th climb!!! :) A great route - lead the 1st+2nd pitches in one, and the 4th pitch. Found the odd block/slab move on the 3rd pitch OK, but the 4th pitch felt very exposed & scary :) Went a bit off-route as well, going inside the final pinnacle rather than around the outside. The experience was slightly spoilt by huge queues which meant a long wait at the top of the 2nd pitch :(

Got to the first pitch after a very hairy start. I fell several times (ripping open a previous cut in the process)at the beginning and once I reached the top I just knew I didn't have the strength to get any further. I will have this climb next time I go! :)
