State of the Heart** 6c+
[chrisdavies leading State of the Heart F6c+, 2 kb]23m.

Rockfax Description
A technical route up weird angles and slopers with some sharp rock. Use long quick-draws and move right above the last bolt to lower-off. Probably 7a+ if you can't do the reach. © ROCKFAX

UKC Logbook Description
good solid climbing up the leaning ledges to the right of the black overhanging wall. tricky crux crossing the slab under the roof, and keep your head for the runout to the last bolt after you`ve sumounted the roof, steady climbing, but big fall potential if you slip, needs an extra bolt really for a sport route, spot on for the grade!

Ticklists: All the Llanberis SLATE sport @ 6c & 6c+, Slate Sport.

guy757 - 18/Jun/15

did the crux with a fairly outrageous heel, feel like there's definitely an easier way...
harry_lewis - Lead dog - 06/Jun/15 with Tom Brown

Really happy to have led this clean. The moves are fantastic all the way up! Although it is a bit like climbing on knives in parts.

Tried to do with seeping water on sections.rested twice at crux then got above to find there was a 5meter run out so lowered off as too wet and windy to risk it!only to find you could protect with a cam,I really should read the guide book!

Fantastic, really interesting and varied climbing. Could do with one more bolt, the cam popped without much encouragement as I moved past.
UncleMephisto - Lead dog - 30/May/13 with James Broom

Got half way to the last bolt but lost my head. Wish I'd taken a cam! One to come back to. Horrible down climb back to overhang, then lowered off metolius quickdraw (free crag swag for anyone who gets there quick!)
MichaelGallimore - Lead dnf - 01/Apr/13 with MikeR

Just about managed the crux, big move for the short. Placed 1.5 cam on the run-out and glad I did since the top jugs were wet and slimy.
Glyn - Lead O/S - 03/Aug/12 with Spike

fell on the crux - sloper was damp after recent rain.
Billg - Lead dog - 14/Apr/12 with James Kauntze

Hidden - Lead dnf - 20/Mar/11

A good route. Lots of quite funky moves and a stiff crux. If you're of a nervous disposition/prone to slipping, take a 1.5 friend for above the roof. Its not neccessary however because the climbing significantly eases.
Alex Mason - Lead O/S - 11/May/10 with Laura Perry

good climbing, confusing little crux, will go back to lead clean!
chrisdavies - Lead dog - 27/Feb/10

Horribly slopy and sharp edges, and still way above my grade i must admit. I apologise for the blood on the holds from the crux up!
Sardien - 2nd dog - 27/Feb/10 with Chris Davies, Steve

tough crux
