Been looking to do this for a while! Appeared very steep the week before so I chickened out, but tom convinced me it was a good idea and I just needed that bit more encouragement! Deffonately a lovely VS. After some pondering we decided to start the route with the face wall rather than the arete. Stood up, saw there wasn't much gear below the roof and knelt down blindly placing a piece of gear I spied out when I was on my way up! Moved out right, placed more solid gear under the roof, out around the roof, one more piece of gear, then decided to blast for the top of the crack rather than hang around in strenous positions placing some. Relatively easy layback, pumpy but no specifically hard moves. Out left, more gear, then up the crack/arete with ease! Very pleased with myself, becoming solid at VS.
