Managed to get up the crack to the break but couldn't work out how to get up to an nice jam higher up the crack and after moving up two or three times to try and work up for it I ended up having to rest on the rope. After a bit of a breather on the rope I had another crack on it and used the jam I had to layback up to the nice hold and finished comfortably from there. I will be back for a clean lead!

What can I say, I saw that it was going to be a pump fest. The guide book even warns of it. Got the gear as high as possible - tick. Went for it, hung around for too long. Got pumped, the anxiety kicked in and I cleanly down climbed from the crux - further than if I'd just carried on through it! Fun none the less. I shall be back!

Should be E for energetic, not technical just bloody pumpy hard work. Definately felt harder than a few hvs' i've climbed. High in the grade on pure work levels. I'm no good at jamming and couldn't keep pushing with one of my feet to maintain the pressure of layback while moving hands up and fell a couple of times. Was exhausted by the finish. Will have to come back for a clean attack when i'm in better climbing shape.

OMG this climb should be on the top 50 list in Rockfax and is an absolute must for anyone learning to climb on grit. Bomber gear, jamming to get into the crack two more solid runners then textbook laybacking(my first)up to the horizontal breaks. Manged to place gear while laybacking and got a good rest at the top break before taking the left hand exit. Pumped but delighted!

Luke first attempted to lead, but finally gave up and was lowered off after several pieces of gear were placed. Then I took over using the same rope end with those gear already clipped. I found myself to be airborne before I noticed and even before I reached Luke's high point (namely in practically the top-rope section)... Wet rocks are to blame? Nevertheless I was terribly annoyed with my own performance!

Started with tired arms after Roof Route and Groove Route: not a good idea! Layback was nice, but the fingers weren't working by the time I got the the break... bit of a downclimb and undignified drop followed. Oh well, to be expected if I will start already tired... shouldn't be a problem when fresh.

I thought pretty hard for VS! Good bomber gear, but inorder to stop and place it you have to be in a strenuous layback position or stood on poor smears, bar the first piece. The top was also suprisingly difficult, the move getting from the first break to stood on the ledge above.

Fantastic route but the sort the phrase, 'VS? My arse!' was invented. No hard moves, just hard work. Feels fair at the grade once you've topped out but it's hard not to feel sandbagged when you're pumped stupid halfway up the layback!
