Restricted Access
Seals breed in Parliament House cave during the autumn months and climbers should take particular care not to disturb them during the time from late August to late October when the young seal pups can be eailsiy sepreated from their mothers with devastating consequences.
A large (huge!) rockfall occured at the back of Parliement House Cave in 2017 which affects some of the routes in the cave and further rockfalls are likley!
Rockfax Description
Start as for Genuflex.
1) 5c, 30m. Take the right-hand chimney/crack direct, then break right onto a slab after the first bulge. Follow another crack on the right to a belay on Archway.
2) 5c, 15m. Move up the slab then climb rightwards into a loose corner. Traverse right on good footholds to the arete and blindly grope around this. Ascend the balancy left arete above on uninspiring holds and continue to the top. This pitch may has suffered some rockfall in the initial corner/groove. © Rockfax
