I suppose the reason is that I don't enter any!
Technically I'm not allowed to enter the comps at UKC but you are and every week there is a good chance that you could win outdoor kit.
The past few months visitors to UKC have won six DMM Dragon cams (as part of the monthly DMM First Friday comp series), a Sterling rope, two Tendon ropes, C.A.M.P helmets and harnesses, Fizan walking poles, a Primus Eta Solo stove, Podsacs Super Crash Pads, a weekend climbing in Norway and Alpkit sleeping mats.
Well, from December through to March we are cranking it up even more and there will be competitions every week virtually and loads to win....from Petzl, Scarpa, Wild Country, Outdoor Research, DMM, The North Face, Polartec....... and, I hate saying this, much much more! In this case, much more is actually true.
Win one of three pairs of Kahtoola Micro-spikes from Beta Climbing Designs: enter here
Win one of six Adventure Medical Kits Emergency Bivvy bags: enter here
And the continuing, Polartec and Mountain Equipment Competition: Week Three (with some bigger prizes in a couple of weeks): enter here
Get your entries in by next Wednesday, 8th December. Then there will be another competition.
