Were you late off the route or stayed up high to record the sunset?

I stayed up until the last of the sun, then raced down to the Kinloch road without needing the headtorch, stuck my thumb out and the first vehicle to come along stopped, and it was Doctor Ellis on his way back from work. Went for a cup of tea and a bagel - what hospitality! - then got the bus back home with that lovely warm glow of a grand day out. I was first across the ridge in the morning and only saw 6 other people, all of who descended early and missed the ensuing light show. If you've got the food and drink, why not stay up high - the weather was perfect - warm sun and not a breath of wind. Magic! I love pottering about looking for new and interesting viewpoints for photos and paintings
