Final move loking down into Crack of Doom

That's interesting, I didn't know Thomson did any routes on Skye. I know him mostly for his extensive contributions to Welsh climbing.
Only a hill - 13/Sep/10
In 1911 J. M. Archer Thomson and H. O. Jones. were guests of MacLaren and Shadbolt. The resulting “tour de force” could possibly be the greatest ever week of achievements in the Cuillin with no less than 8 major new routes and a further 5 of lesser importance. The team climbed Sligachan Buttress and 2 routes on the great north face of Mhadaidh together, then new routes in Coire Lagan as separate parties. Shadbolt was impressed by Thomson in particular “who would always choose a line, however difficult, and stick to it regardless of much easier alternatives on either hand”. They had rain every day and ended with a repeat of Shadbolt’s Chimney on the Tooth and descended by Naismith’s Route!
