Myself and Chester Robinson have recorded a number of routes in the scrubby land down below the back of the beginners slabs at Roche Rock. I've entered the routes in the database as First Recorded Ascents and for the sake of orientation I've taken the liberty of naming the two small bluffs as Bugle Face and Boscowen Face respectively; these names are local so hopefully will not offend. This is Bugle face, it is best approached by scrambling around the left hand side of the beginners slabs as you face them.
