As I pulled up on the horizontal crack the whole block collapsed onto my arm. I hung for just over two hours before being rescued by fire crew. Very lucky to escape this with my arm intact.

whats that coming out of your bottom? Is it one of your tendons? Seriously bad luck. I'm sure you'll be back on the rock sooner than you think.

Grim. Glad you're ok.

Have you seen the film 127 hours?
The Pylon King - 29/May/13
"Just over 2 hours" would be 127 minutes then?
Thought this was a piss-take / mega-incompetence photo at first. Nasty! Glad you are OK.

Thanks :) A little swollen, some numbness and pins and needles in my fingers is the only problem at the moment so I'm feeling incredibly lucky. I think jamming the hex in the gap by my arm probably prevented the rock from crushing me any more than it had done. I haven't seen the film but it was the first thought that went through my mind. Very glad I was not alone there. At least there would have been someone to cut my arm off for me if it had come to that :)

Wow. I've done that route a number of times. Scary.

Bugger! This was the last route lead of the day before this happened and that rock was a real wobbler. Sorry to hear about the drama, hope your alright bud.
