Lovely climb. The rock appears to be much cleaner then, compared to more recent photo's, which is a shame.

Well spotted! You are absolutely right the photo was taken in 1972. The slide was not actually dated but was stored in a box marked June1969. Having unearthed my old guide books and checked the notes, the date was still June but 1972. Actually, when I looked back through the guides Ken and I had climbed Comet Wall together at least once a year from 1965 to 1983....I said it was a good route!
