First ascent of Boldest. Pete and Bas Ingle were having alternate goes until Pete decided to place the controversial bolt which secured the crux moves.

Wasn't that the time when several noted climbers, James and Soper among them, were sat watching Pete when a rockfall caused them to move rather quickly ?

Have just seen this. Agree totally with Jon. This is an utterly iconic photo of Pete Crew on his masterpiece.

Great photo. And talk about wide bridging - the move from that position must've been hard/strenuous.
