On my original topo for this route and its neighbour I described the approach (whether coming from Loriaz or Emosson) as going to the EDF pylon as a starting point, then following a narrow but quite worn path up to the crag. Piola in his wisdom thought it better to ignore this and strike off the path at some arbitary point and head cross country... obviously a mistake. The description got us confused in the piolat guide. Didn't realise we were supposed to head off left until we'd reached the top of combe de l'ours... Great effort on finding the line, looking forward to trying the other one.
