I have fond memories of that January day....despite the cold and wet rock, we had a cracking day, climbed a dozen routes, supported throughout by a torrent of friendly banter. Great days.

Were there less trees in those days? Or does it just look a little less vegetated because it was mid winter?

Hi Calum, both is the short answer! The trees in the gorge were small saplings in those days, and it was winter.
