This looks an awesome climb - when was the shot taken and does it come into condition often - I'm sharpening my tools in anticipation already.

It was ace. The shot was taken in Feb or March 2005, after a cold snap of about 5 days. I had mates who did after 3 cold days and they said it was more or less all frozen. As all the climbing is on ice, it doesn't need any snow. The fun thing about the route is that you can choose a line to make it hard (IV?) or easy (I or less), depending on how you feel.
