Great photo! Reminds me of when I seconded the first ascent way back in the early 70's. When Hugh was leading, on sight,ground up, he found a shallow spike about a metre below Al,s foot in the photo and reckoned the tape sling would stay on better if I was belayed on to it, in fact hanging on it, so he brought me up. Since there was no more gear the belay would have recieved only a downward pull. We graded it VS in the next guidebook and it became known as the hardest VS in the County until subsequently being upgraded. Those were the days!
