Was this the Lakes' first E5? It seems to be a couple of years before Livesey and Footless Crow.

As I recall Colin Read and Johnny Adams used 2 points of aid in 1972 and it was graded E3. Martin Berzins and Chris Sowden climbed it with one point of aid in 1976. They returned in May 1982 and climbed it free (E5)

They would've graded it "Extremely Severe" whatever it was. The E-grade system wasn't devised until 1977.
