That route looks so much easier when you can reach the top. I backed off and escaped to the left as I couldn't figure out what to do from Nick's position.

if you're short the move is left hand low, right hand out to arete, right foot out to nose, rock up to good holds.

I'm 5ft 4" and had to jump with my left hand to make the move in this photo - had my left foot a bit higher and used the right hand hold a little bit differently, but in essence the same move. So...if you do have to jump and slap, the good news is that the break is good enough to slap for.
