Im going out on my silver Duke of Edinburgh expedition around Keswick and Buttermere in the lakes. I am taking my bouldering gear with me as we have a free last day, and out techer has agreed to drop us where we tell him.....anyone got any suggestions on where to go? we need somewhere with a short approch time that is close to Keswick and Buttermere. Any suggestions will be gladly appreciated.
The Bowderstone is possibly the biggest boulder you coudl imagine and in Borrowdale so close to Keswick. Apart from being a tourist attraction in its own right and close to the road, it (and the associated boulderes) have lots of problems. Am sure there are other venues.
