a)dont confuse random news paper reports with what the research says
b)it may be good for you depending on quantity and/or other conditions/medication.

Is this a serious question? It is only the media that translate it into "good" or "bad". Some findings have been reported that indicate regular taking of aspirin reduces the incidence of certain cancers. That is not inconsistent with aspirin having other negative side effects.
1) Newspaper science reporting is massively shoddy. I thought everybody knew this.
2) I'd be interested to hear your design for a study to conclusively prove whether any one thing is 'good' or 'bad' for you. Even assuming you have an unlimited budget. Go on...
