The reason I ask is, I spend a LOT of time looking at the pics on here and for the first time in 9/10 years I've came across a pic (actually a couple of the same area) today and thought "I really gotta visit this place!"
In reply to Padraig: the Eglwyseg escarpment is one of my favourite places. Climbing's a bit crumbly but i love just walking up there along Offa's Dyke path.
It is as beautiful as it looks in the photos....go!
In reply to Padraig:
After having spotted some pics of red wall at Porth Clais I finally visited it last summer and was not disappointing, beautiful place
In reply to Padraig: Yup, this one of climbing Pixie at Craig Caerfai inspired me to go and climb the route ...it did not disappoint. http://www.ukclimbing.com/images/dbpage.php?id=71731
I did first see the photo in the Pembroke Rockfax rather than on UKC though, so not sure if that counts.
To the OP: If you get to Llangollen don't miss out on Kinberg as good a single pitch VS as you'll find anywhere.
In reply to Padraig: The first time i saw a pic of the Aiguille Dibona in the Ecrins i had to go climb it the following year , a stupendous piece of rock
In reply to Padraig: Not strictly a pic but I'm thinking of planning a trip to Macedonia next year after watching the video of the bouldering in Markovi Kuli on here a while ago.
