So I gather theres some snow about in the pass- is ANYTHING (trad, bouldering, slate) worth hoping for this weekend or should i start ogling Tremadog instead?!
Thanks!

the way you put that makes Tremadoc sound like a poor 2nd choice; doesn't Tremadoc have equally good routes and also steeped in climbing history ??

Even with snow on the ground, slate should be climbable. It doesn't hold water and it dries quickly. cold under the hands but definitely worth it!

But yes, tremadog is definitely not just a plan B. It's probably one of my favourite places, even when conditions in the pass are perfect.

The moelwyns could be another option? Or else Jerry's roof on Cromlech boulders will be dry!

Didn't mean to make it sound like that, I love Tremadog! Its just that the pass is closer to where we're staying

Lornajkelly- yeah thought the slate would be in (normally is!)

Slate was warm to the touch yesterday with snow on the ground

Definitely hit the slate then! Though I would say that - it's my rock of choice anyway.

I was there the day before new year and looning the tube was like crimping on ice! My fingertips were numb.

Slate with down jacket and hand warmers!

Might be a bit warmer down Tremadog though...
