Looking for some old climbing rope to chop up and give to local Scout group so they can learn how to tie knots ... Happy to pay postage plus price of a pint.

A friend of mine recently bought new rope AND a cutter for his Scout group! Must be a particularly affluent group!

Any local climbing walls you could ask? (sorry if I'm stating the bleedin' obvious!)

In reply to Mark McGinnes: Mark I think I can assist you, I've got the remains of a couple of old wall ropes 10mm, probably about 20m each. Previously I'd have given these to a mate's scout group in Bothwell but they've got plenty so if you'd like them give me a shout.
