A quick google delivers plenty of tips for fabulous, beautiful, healthy skin, but I don't mind if mine is ugly so long as I can keep on crimping.

Trying to climb most days at the moment, I'm finding my biggest limitation is fingertip skin, and I'm not even climbing on especially rough rock.

Makes me wonder if there's something amiss in my diet. I'm well aware of stuff like Climb On and Tip Juice, but wondering if anyone has any suggestions for prevention rather than cure.

I already wear dish-washing gloves.

Zinc is always good for skin and nail health (plus manganese for nails as well)*

P1ss1ng on your hands makes the skin tougher.

But mainly, regular and continued moderate exposure - ie stopping before your fingers are totally trashed - will help the stratum corneum to thicken, and give you tougher skin.

im a bricklayer and a climber so my hands use to split and bleed on a regular bases then I my misses started getting me to use various hand creams but the best by far was hemp hand cream from the body shop. kinda pricey but well worth it
